Overview
Giftfloop is a free gift-recommendation tool. This policy explains what little data we handle and how you can remove it at any time. We are a small, early-stage project — if anything here is unclear, please reach out using the contact details below.
What we collect
We don't have user accounts, logins, or a server-side database of your personal information. We don't collect your name, email, or payment details anywhere on this site.
Data stored in your browser
When you save a person you're shopping for, their nickname and quiz answers (like relationship, interests, and personality) are saved using your browser's local storage — a feature built into every browser that keeps data on your device only. This information is never sent to our servers. You can delete it at any time from the "Saved" page, or by clearing your browser's site data.
Cookies
We use one cookie to remember whether you're browsing the Turkey or US version of the site. It doesn't track you across other websites and isn't used for advertising.
Analytics
We track a small number of anonymous usage events (like completing the quiz or clicking a product link) to understand whether the tool is useful. Right now, this only logs to your browser's developer console during our own testing — it is not sent to any analytics service. If that changes in the future, we'll update this policy first.
Affiliate links
Some product links on this site are affiliate links — if you buy something after clicking one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This never affects which products we recommend. Once you click through, you're on the merchant's own site, and their privacy policy applies from that point.
Deleting your data
Since nothing is stored on our servers, deleting your data is straightforward: remove a saved person from the "Saved" page, or clear your browser's site data for Giftfloop to remove everything at once.
Children's data
We ask only for a nickname when saving someone you're shopping for — never a full legal name or exact birth year — by design, to keep this information minimal.

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll update the date above.
